The Love Box is an innovative company focused on providing couples with a hassle free and bespoke online wedding registry with a twist. In addition to a registry with a wide range of niche products, our clients will have access to 2 unique alternatives – firstly, the ability to fund bespoke experiences as gifts (from their guests) and secondly, a Love Fund where guests can contribute towards something that is important to the couple.

Create an account with us for free and start browsing products and adding gifts to your list,

You can also add an unlimited number of cash contributions, honeymoon funds, charity donations.

Once you have opened your registry, you can swop and change gifts as you please. Guests can start purchasing as soon as you have informed them of your registry.

Once your list is live, guests can choose any combination of gifts and cash contributions quickly and easily with our secure online checkout. We accept international credit cards from every country in the world, and guests can choose to pay in their local currency online. If you would like to swap or exchange any items your guests have selected, you can do so before you close the registry and confirm all with our team.

Once the registry has been closed and finalized, all your gifts will be sent to you.

Cash contributions are transferred with no additional fees, straight to your bank account whenever you like.

All you have to do is register for an account and you can get started on creating your wedding gift list.

How do I start adding gifts to my list?2018-08-31T11:09:21+00:00

You can browse through the brands available or go directly into each department page and select your items. If there is an item you would like to add to your list, click on the image and “add to registry”. Once you have completed your selection of items, you can then view the full product range you have selected on your registry page.

What should I do if I want something from one of your brands but can’t find it on the site?2018-08-31T11:09:44+00:00

If you cant find the gift you are looking for and its sold by one of our selected brands, send us an email and we will look into it and try add the product from the backend.

Can I customise a gift?2018-08-31T11:10:12+00:00

You can create your own gift under the Love Fund. Here you have the option of personalising the cash fund. For example if there is a specific charity you would like guests to contribute towards, send us an email and we will customize the name by adding the details in from the backend.

To make luxury items and experiences more affordable, we offer a contribution service. This allows multiple guests the opportunity to contribute to the item you have selected. If the full contribution amount is not met, you can contribute the shortfall directly yourselves.

What happens if a contribution gift is not fully purchased?2018-08-31T11:16:33+00:00

If I gift is not 100% fulfilled, you can contribute towards that gift therefore purchasing the remaining amount, or you can use the amount contributed to buy another product.

How do the Love Funds work?2019-11-22T08:13:05+00:00

Love Fund Vouchers are broken down into charity, honeymoon and home renovations. You can add Love Fund Vouchers to the amount of your choice.

If you would like to create your own fund you can do so by selecting “Create Your Own” on the Love Funds page. We can create a personalised fund for you with your own title – for example “Trip around the World”, “Romantic Dinner” etcetera.

Credit card processing fees are charged at 3,5%. So for example, a Love Fund to the value of R1000, you will receive (R1000-3,5%) = R965 in total.

We charge a flat management fee of R1500 for all “Create Your Own” Love Funds.

Once your registry is closed we will transfer the cash directly to your bank account.

Should an item be faulty, please contact us and we will contact the retailer to resolve the issue for you.

Our delivery to you is fully insured, and so in the unlikely event of something being damaged. Please contact our team and provide the relevant feedback along with an image of the damaged item.

Once assessed an exchange will be processed immediately.

Gifts can be exchanged prior to closure of your registry and thereafter, you will need to contact our team directly so we can access the problem before an exchange is made.

Once your registry is closed, you will need to make any changes before finalizing the list with us. Once this is finalized “closed” we will then take around 4 weeks to send these to you.

We offer one complimentary delivery of all your gifts (to main cities in South Africa) after your registry has been closed. Please note that some items may have a longer lead time than others.

Free delivery is to all main cities, however should you stay outside of any of the main cities a delivery fee will be charged. We will discuss thus prior to delivery and closure of your registry.

We try keep the products accurately maintained. Should a gift not be available, we will inform you and you can either select another item or wait for the product to be made available again by the supplier. We will inform you as soon as the product is available and will ship this to you immediately.

You have full access to the site and products available.

How do I keep track of gifts for thank you notes?2018-08-31T11:13:10+00:00

Next to each gift that is purchased, you can view the messages left by your guests. Once you have finalized your registry, our team will send you a full breakdown of the items purchased along with the messages that are linked to each gift purchased.

This is kept as simple as possible. Simply login to your account and view the gifts. The list is updated continuously upon gift purchases.

How do guests access my gift list?2018-08-31T11:12:23+00:00

Guests can access your registry by searching for your registry under either your name or email address.

How many gifts should I add?2018-08-31T11:12:09+00:00

We recommend at least one gift per guest; so if you have 100 guests, select 100 items. This may vary depending on whether or not you have split your registry between gifts and experience or Love Fund.

When should I create my list?2018-08-31T11:11:41+00:00

Creating a wedding gift list is great fun, but with so much choice you need to leave yourself plenty of time.

Start browsing fairly early but bear in mind that product ranges might change. If you create your list too early you may find that some items are not available when your list goes live.

We recommend finalizing your list just before you send your invitations out, which is usually 10-12 weeks before the wedding date. Of course, you can add to your list or remove unwanted items at any time, even after the list has been made public.
